Type AB's need to pay attention to combining certain foods. You’ll digest and metabolize foods more efficiently if you avoid eating starches and proteins in the same meal. So, we've been conditioned to think that we need all the food groups at every meal, but for an AB, this is actually counter-productive especially if one is trying to lose weight.
A meal that consists of a steak and baked potato is hard for an AB to digest as it combines proteins and starches. When you have low levels of digestive secretions, food tends to stay in the stomach longer.
